1989 Pro V 150

I have an 89 Pro V 150 that lost a piston. The cylinder wall is scored pretty good and I have been told this block cannot be resleeved?

I have access to a non Pro V block of the same year. My question is if I use all of the parts from my engine, excluding new pistons, will this combination work?

I do not know what makes the Pro V different.

Block I have access to is 1989 Yamaha 150 Crankcase Block 6G4-W0090-16-EK *0190*
