Stern drives seem to suffer here in salt.

What is "FS"? I don't know of a Bravo drive with that designation. What kind of questions do you have about them? Personally, I like the black color - I think it looks good. Or, were you wondering something else?

It is a merc racing 4 blade prop, going to
order one for my triton 205. Supposed to
be a good big water prop.

Oh, this is a PROP question? I though it was about an outdrive. I'm still not sure what the "FS" is - the only Bravo-labelled prop I can think of is the one labelled Bravo I since it's probably a pretty good bet that you don't have a Bravo II or III gearcase. This is why we need specifics in a post.

I'm not in the South so maybe my opinion doesn't count, but this prop is usually found on high-HP V8 engines. Prop questions are tough - for one, a lot depends on what engine you have (you didn't mention that key bit of info) and what you want the boat/engine to do for you. Other than that, the Bravo I is an excellent prop for what it is designed for. But I wouldn't necessarily all it a true "racing" prop - unless there's more to that "FS" that we don't about, yet.

EDIT: Just saw your post about your location... Now I'm more confused. What do you mean by "South"?

2nd Edit: Just googled Mercury Bravo I FS prop and it returned some hits. How does this differ from their "regular" Bravo I prop?

The FS stands for four stroke. Merc racing built
it for the big 4 strokes. Far as the south, It was for
the boaters that fishes in the salt. There are times
I will get caught in 10 footers on lake Erie.

10 foot waves? Only time I fished in 10 footers was in Rodbolts AO.
We were in a 60 ft custom Carolina with 1650hp. Rough yes, caught some nice yellowfin. 20ft boat? Yikes!

                      Yes a 20 and 1/2 foot boat with a 99 225 opti.
                      It handles big water well.

small boats act like a cork and float up and down waves, big boats ride on top of a lot of waves, those in between stick their bows into one big wave while coming off of the last one

I have to try this walleye sometime. How do you cook it?

FS = Four Stroke. OK, got it. I don't much about that one. But if it's essentially similar to the stern drive version then it should be a good prop.

"South"... 'ya know that there's an ocean on the East coast of the US, too, right?

They just came out with a bravo 1 lt
made for heavy boats. LT stands for
                              long tube.
