Water flow direction in PCV ?
The Yamaha service manuel shows that the button mushroom part of the PCV faces out and buts up against the spring. Is this correct ?

Negative, the redesigned PCV mushroom end faces the rubber grommet in the cavity. The cross end is inserted inside the spring.

Thanks Boscoe, I've been reading blueprints most of my life and for some reason my manual has it backwards.

Some of those part number 11 had the hex shape on both ends, but the longer hex went in the spring....

Yes Robert, the OEM website shows the mushroom or newer plastic insert facing the spring.
