help with cdi unit yamaha p50tlrq

F40 CDI question

Have a 2004 F40 4 stroke that runs good with the exception of a miss in #2.
Tried swapping coil pack from @1 and then #2 fires OK and #1 misses.

Thus far in my troubleshooting it seems the signal from CDI to #2 coil pack fails when engine is warmed up.

Does this necessarily indicate a bad CDI or is there another component that triggers the CDI signal to #2 coil pack?

Any help troubleshooting , technical information or direction will be appreciated. Have a digital Service Manual which is not very "non-Yam Tech" user friendly.

the p50 and the F40 are way to different to compare.
the F40 of that year was a mercury with Yamaha paint.
