    replacing the mangled tilt lock arms is a pain.
    do it all the time.
    some of the single ram setups actually destroy the unit.
    simply buy and use an actual tilt support.

    them weak ares metal arms are NOT desighned for trailering.

      Gotcha, glad I asked about this topic before the lever arm snapped.

      That's a nifty pvc setup townsend. Simple and inexpensive.

        If Townsends didn't keep his boat on a lift, he'd probably use a mono-shock from his other 2 wheel Yamahas!

        I have always used the tilt locks when trailering. Now I'm gonna have to change my technique!

          I think the PVC would be easier to install if trailering.
          Last time it was trailered was in 2007 when it was re-powered. (True!)
