I have a 2015 250 SHO and would like to know how it to hook it up to my Garmin 741XS to monitor engine data through a NMEA network without using any factory Yamaha gauges. I would like to use the 741xs for an all in one system instead of the command link gauges and separate GPS/plotter. Seen several discussions about a wiring harness being needed but want to be sure I get the right one. Any help is greatly appreciated!

so, is the engine already installed with Command Link gauges which you would remove?
if so, I believe you could get it done with this cable (or its equivalent) plugged in to your existing harness

Just connect a Lowrance 0120-37 cable to the motor at one end and to your NMEA 2000 network at the other end.

Thanks for the help! Fairdeal yes my plan is to remove the command link gauge and use the garmin for everything. Just didn't know if I had to purchase a NMEA cable to go from the engine to the garmin. Thank you as well boscoe99, would you guys recommend doing this or should I keep the command link display?

Good deal thanks boscoe99 because I was also concerned on how I would monitor my fuel tank levels since they are connected to the command link gauge. That was my next research project to see how the fuel senders would hook up to the Garmin 741xs.
