Gauges Not Working on Dash for 200hp 2 stroke
Yes the best thing for a boat is to use it daily. Stupidly let the boat set up for a year. After all the fun stuff... The motor itself is running fine... All "boat" wiring works, horn, bilge pump, nav lights etc.
I am having issues with my gauges at the helm related to the engine wiring harness.
Tach is intermittent, no voltage shown, fuel guage is shows tank is full (that is never the case right? at least for me). running around like an idiot thinking i have 85 gallons of fuel is not my idea of fun. they do back light.
I have pulled he console and cleaned all connections... at helm
Big red flag, there are two fuse connections both red in color in the console end of harness. One has a broken fuse and the other is NOT connected and and has no fuse. What is the appropriate fuse size for these two connections.
For the last couple of years the voltage would drop on tilt use. I am guessing bad ground?
I would also like to know the connection points at the ENGINE side, as long as I am chasing this ghost
