Snap a pic with a digital camera.

    Then, one of two options

For a large pic, open a Photobucket account. Click add a picture on PB. It will load into Photo bucket. Once there, copy the "Image", (second from the bottom(on PB)), then paste on your post here. It'll show as a large picture..

For a smaller, easier to post but generally not as helpful being smaller:
Again snap your pic. Connect your camera to your computer. As your writing your post on this forum, go down to advanced options.. It will allow you to go to your camera, choose your pic, and then Upload. It'll show up as a smaller pic..

    Photobucket image:

Here's the same pic, no Photobucket, uploaded direct from my computer to the forum. Go to "go advanced". Then manage attachments. Click on your pic and upload. It'll then show just like here(the smaller pic)

Then below that is the direct upload ("attached thumbnails")

You should be able to click on THAT image TWICE to enlarge it a bit...

    .

re posting photos - there are many ways, here's an easy one:

use this link (bookmark it for next time)

No "account" or login required - just click "Choose images"

      https://postimage.org/

a dialog box will open -

navigate to and choose the image you want to upload from your computer

once its uploaded - you see this screen:

Copy the "Hotlink for forums" and paste it into your post here.

        Attach a Picture:

        Click on Reply as normal.

At the top of the grey box where you type your reply is a paperclip, click that.

That opens another window called Manage Attachments, near the top is a grey slender box with "upload files from your Computer" click the browse section.

Select a picture or file you want to attach (from your computer) and click "upload" over to the right.

(I selected a picture of an iceberg I took this summer)

Then click Close this Window at the bottom and you should be back to the Reply to Thread and your picture should be attached

        Submit reply

        Hope this helps

That would be mine. On a million dollar trailer....

Now how the hell can I delete the test thread I posted on forum? Can't see a delete button on my original?

tried as both a jpeg and pdf , file won't upload. I have the service manual so I'm familiar with Yamaha's " general tools". Only difference between that drawing and my puller is that I don't have a nut right above the puller frame

I think your buddy with the flywheel wrench will accomplish the same thing. The wrench with two pins I assume? Sorry to hijack your thread with all the pic instructions.

If that is the actual picture of your set up you may want to get some thicker washers for under the heads of the cap screws, you are losing a lot of your puller power as the washers deform down into the slots of the puller. It has to be a very rigid setup.

Again I would suggest putting the nut back on and bring it down so its just flush with the top of the crank, you might "mushroom" the top of the shaft slightly and bugger the first thread without the nut. Especially if you got to hit the puller hard and repeatedly.

Keep at it...it will come off, and with a big bang when it does.

That IS his motor, I just made into a a picture..

Plus one on the washers but the threads for the crank seem to be much lower and in about 1/4" on each side.IE, very little chance of damaging them..

I was using thicker washers yesterday , made no difference , but will probably try them again in the morning. I think if I use another nut below the puller body , it will act as a jamb nut , then I can eliminate the flywheel wrench altogether , and my buddy can use a wrench and be a whole lot safer
