Side mount control

Hey Guys,

I'm having a problem with my Yamaha 703-48205-A1-00 703 Side Mount Es Control Box W/ Trim Switch,operating an F25. When I reach about 1/2 throttle in forward, the red lockout handle on the underside of the throttle pops down, effectively locking the throttle in at that speed.
Has anyone experienced this ? Hopefully it is a worn or broken internal part that can be replaced, but thought I'd ask before digging into it.

703 remote problem

Problem solved : the nylon 'plate lock' that resides behind the handle, and controls the neutral lockout, had section broken off.

they break. easy to fix.
it is why we stock them. that box has been about for around 30 yrs.

And BTW that part is exactly the same as the Mercury part on side mount control box's and the Mercury part is a lot cheaper that the Yamaha part over here "down under"
