Took the boat out the other day, let it warm up (idled fine) but when I had the throttle down it shook and had about half the power when fully throttled. There is a jet prop on it. Could a spark plug or water in the tank be the problem? Wanting to get this fixed or troubleshoot it before winter. Any suggestions would be great, Ty!

Did you check your under cowl fuel filter for crap / water? If you have a transom mount filter, do the same..
There's no model # posted for this engine so I don't know if its carbed or FI'ed to check for water in the VST or carbs...Scott

first off.
test the alarm horn.
jets have an odd habit of packing the cooling system with sand.
typically cause folks do not realize it sucks anytime the motor is running and the cooling water pump gets it water from the jet impeller.
the only other odd things jets with steel muffler tubes did was corrode a hole at the base of the tube and allow jet water flow to clog the exhaust with water.
this typically shows up as a loss of power yet everything else works.Comment
