  • Townsend..help me please

I just got a new 70TLR,( I'm still running double oil for the break-in.)

I was given these additives with the boat:

    Yamaha Ring-Free Plus fuel additive.
Yamaha Fuel Stabilizer & conditioner Plus

    I also have some K-100

Can you tell me which of these to use? I've always just used Ring free and Stabil, so I'm kinda confused.

    Thanks

Double oil means increasing the amount of oil used per gallon of gas. 1:25 (based on a 1:50 normal ratio), not 1:100.

RF you can use all the time as preventive maintenance.

You only need ONE stabilizer, either is fine.

IF you suspect water in the fuel tank, the K100 will suspend the water and burn it off, IMO, use that.

Keep an eye on your under the cowl fuel filter. If you see any water(besides dumping) starting using the K100.

If your in a very humid area and leave your built in tank very low on fuel, water tends to condense MUCH more. I'm in SW Florida and it doesn't get much more humid than here. I keep about 2/3's a tank and just use K100 (and RF).

I don't know if the Yamaha stabilizer keeps any water in suspension...
