Command Link??

I bought a new F150 and went to buy a Command Link Round Gauge Kit 6Y8-0E83R-81-00 yesterday and was told by a Yamaha dealer’s parts manager that Yamaha is phasing them out and replaced it with another kit (I didn’t jot down the numbers) that cost twice as much.

Does this sound right?

Does not sound right at all.

The kit number you mention is in stock. Buy now before the kit disappears, if that really is going to happen.

sounds like you did not go for the used F150 that set up for a year in a crate. what all did you find wrong with it?

I never checked that motor out. The shop wasn't willing to perform the tests that were suggested here plus no warranty, so decided to buy new.

Is the 20 hr service required to be performed by an authorized dealer or can the owner do it?
