Need instructions on proper wintering on a f90 four stroke with fixed fuel tank

Back ground

Have a f90 four stroke yamaha fixed to my boat with a fixed 18 gal fuel tank that I thought I winterize properly back in 2013 or so. Apparently I did not do a proper job. I left the a lot of fuel in the motor. Can someone walk me through the process of winterizing this unit?
