I need the correct part number for a flywheel. I had ordered one that was supposed to be for a 1997 Yamaha 150 C150TXRV. The part was supposed to be a 6G6-85550-01-00. I ordered that and wasn't able to put it on for over 30days. The place I got it from only wanted to reimburse me 50% of what it cost. The top inner diameter of the flywheel I received is 1.00 and bottom diameter is 1.210. I ended up getting a 6G6-85550-00-00 to fit our motor. Can anyone help identify this flywheel?

Tammy, from what I found the 6G6-85550-00-00 is for a 1996 motor. The 6G6-85550-01-00 is for a 1997 to 1998. Both these are obsolete per Yamaha's parts website. There is also a 6G6-85550-02-00 that is for 1999 up that is not obsolete. Your first order, the 01, I don't beleive is what you actuslly got. I suggest you contact Andy from SIM Yamaha and inquire w/him, simyamaha.com. I have been following your posts and hope the best for you and Roger. 6G6-85550-00-00 is the original part number for the flywheel. The -00-00 number was replaced by 6G6-85550-01-00.
The -01-00 is an updated part that is form, fit and function interchangeable with the -00-00 part.
A C150TXRV was delivered with the 6G6-85550-01-00 installed.

Hopefully we can get this motor rimming. We took it to a repair guy close to home and he had it for 18 months. We got it back, took it out for a test drive and the flywheel came off and busted. Its been an ordeal.Comment
