the issue im having is when testing my overheat sensors, my buzzers go off but my gauges do not flash overheat. i am suspecting the diodes in the dual keyswitch as the problem is the same on both guges/motors... any ideas or suggestions ??

The module in dual keyswitch will cause wierd problems however not sure about your problem. The temp light wire is in the trim/oil harness that goes between engine and tach. Some engines had a gray wire(temp light wire) at engine that had a bullet connector on it and plugs into the 4 pin trim/oil harness. You should be able to ground the gray wire at tach(with ignition key on) and make the temp light come on.

working on a sunday huh...i did have to repair that harness at the motor junction whereas the black wire was broken....oil level was flashing low when it wasnt,so i checked and lubed all harness ends and found the break.
