maybe you can help.
If you remember i fried no.1 piston. I had the motor
rebuilt.
I have put everything back togather.
I adjusted everthing back to spec as stated in the
manual.(linkage, timing etc.) .

When I crank it the timing seems to be way off.
I have set timing according to the manual. Do you know
of anything I should look for that would throw the
timing that far off. I should be close if not right
on. So I think there must be something else. I might
have missed. ANy help appreciated.

i just put back together a powerhead, luckily i had a twin next to it for reassembly help. ensure you your rotor and stator are installed correctly.

Also, did you rebuild it or new powerhead?

Update... I have spark in number 4 and 6 weak spark in other cyl. and none in 2-6-1.
trying to start will backfire.
From what I can see stator and rotor can only go back on one way.

I had it rebuilt.

Scott,
If your motor has a crank position sensor, might want to check it.
Good luck ,
