  • how much resistance

took the vst off my 2005 Yamaha 225 to clean it,while doing that I also removed the strainer. I was wondering how much resistance there should be from the strainer if I try to blow through it?

Spec is 2.45 psi when measured with lips in close contact with the strainer.

How in the world would someone be able to relay that kind of information as it's completely subjective? Some people blow harder than others, you know?

But, seriously, just look at it while holding it up to a light. You should be able to see through it. If there are any particles clogging the holes, you'll see them.

Over downunder we get plenty of practice blowing into police alcohol "breathalizers". Blow until the policeman says stop!

I was referring to the cone shaped filter on the fuel line coming out of the vst,it was called strainer on the parts diagram.
