I keep finding water at bottom of motor under the fuel vapor canister.Port rear bottom cowling. Is some water normal inside of these motors? I assume it should be bone dry in by the motor. Nobody responded to my post from 2 days ago. Any clues on where this water might be coming from?

Thoroughly dry the motor under the cowling.
Put a bucket under the lower unit and fill it with water. Make sure the level of the water is well above the interface between the lower unit and the mid-section. To make sure the water pump is submerged.
Add some flourescent dye to the water. Run the motor for 20 minutes or so. Use a black light to find the leak if you cannot otherwise find the leak visually.

Thanks for the suggestions. I got the boat used. I do not know if the recall was done on the hoses. The motor gets really wet from our ocean conditions here. I keep thinking that the water is entering somewhere on the cowlings. Have you guys seen any problems with the cowling sealing and drainage system? At least this is small amount of water but it is salt water. The motor runs great and I want to keep that way.
