tilt trim gauge wiring

I have a 2006 50HP 4 stroke Yamaha I also have a 6Y5 83670 12 00 "pro" trim gauge. It says it's for 2001-2004. Can I use it on my new motor? I also need a 16' wiring harness. Is P/N 68F 82553 50 00 the correct one? (I don't have Yamaha tach so I want to go directly to the trim gauge) Can I make my own harness and if so, how?

Yes you can use it on your new F50.I would recondmend using the 68F harness instead of homemade, it will make installation easier.
