I have a 1999 225 OX66 and she is the most beautiful engine in the world--kept her shiney and fed with Yamalube which has resulted in uninterrupted service since I've had her

I have the round digital gauges (Multifunction Tachometer and Speedo/Oil) and would like to add fuel management to my dash. I have the inside track on a new 6Y5-83500-F2-00/6Y5-8350F-01-00 FUEL MANAGEMENT GAUGE and 6Y5-83553-F1 HARNESS.
I know I need the YAMAHA FUEL FLOW METER SENDER 6Y5-85752-01-00 and possibly the extension (YAMAHA OUTBOARD FUEL MANAGEMENT HARNESS EXTENSION 6X1-82531-00-00).
Do I need anything else? Am I correct that I can use either my NMEA 0183 or the lead from my Yamaha Speedo to input speed into the Fuel Management Gauge?
Am I wrong in thinking this is an install I may be able to handle myself?
