F30 no spark on middle cylinder

Hi,

I'm looking for some advice on this 4 stroke. There is a n intermittent lack of spark on the middle cylinder.

I've tried swapping coils with out success. I would be very gratefull if someone could advise on how to diagnose the problem. I presume the stator does not distinguish between the cylinders? So the problem must be with the CDI unit or downstream from there?

Any help would be much appriciated.

Test the pulsor coil and the charge coil first before replacing CDI.

I have checked the resistance of the pulser coil and charge coil and they are within spec. Are these coils not common to all three cylinders? If they where faulty would it not cause a lack of spark on all three?

Is there a better way to test these coils or a method to test the CDi.
