    Prop talk

Ok guys I have a 2012 Seaark 2072 pro. It came with a Yamaha F90 with a 13x19 prop aluminum. I've put a 13.25 x 17 on it once . Both props seem to work well on the boat. I bent up a few of those aluminum props and just recently put a 3 blade 14.25x19 stainless steel prop on it. I put a set of float pods on the back of my hull and gained almost 4" of extra floatation out of my hull. The pods make me jump up on plane and help with carring 1200lbs of cat fish. Now I'm putting this F150 on it and it has a black painted stainless steel prop that has 17M stamped on it. I'm back at the guessing **** with props. So let's say empty I have a 1200lb boat. Should I put that 14.25x19 on the 150? I didn't car for it on the 90 it seem to lug the engine.

ok well then Ill just have to play with props then............... ok well with the increase in engine size and only having a 12 gallon tank I'm going to need more fuel. so I can add another 12 gallon tank to the other side of the boat. I have a fuel filter water separator and it has multiple ports. Can I run each take in a inlet side and only use one outlet to the engine? will it pull fuel from both evenly?

I would use a valve to switch between the tanks.
also look at Yamaha Performance Bulletins to get an idea of what size prop they used on a rig close to yours

I'd get your set up done (with the extra tank at least half full) before trying to swap props (just so your not doing this again).

When I went from my improper sized aluminum prop (re-powered) to a SS prop, I went to a local prop shop and told them what it was doing(RPM's, etc). They recommended a certain SS prop that's dead nuts on the money...
