9.9hp 4 Stroke.....very Hard to Start

Guys: I have a '99 Yamaha 4 stroke, Hi-Thrust, Electric Start (Thank GOD FOR THAT!)

I have to spin and spin and spin and try and try and try to get her running.

Once warm and once she "catches" and idles fast, all is well.

Is it time for a good carb cleaning?

BTW, the Fuel Pump is New (upgraded with water cooled model) and the fuel line and bulb are new too.

The carb does have to be clean and in good working order for it to start properly. In most cases cleaning the carb solves the problem.
