I run 8 Yamaha 60hp Enduros in saltwater. All are identical but different ages. My newest four motors are three years old and the anodes are showing severe electrolysis and need replaced. I've snapped a few thermostat and impeller bolts when replacing parts due to corrosion. What a pain. Oddly enough I have a couple motors that are 10 years old with a couple thousand more hours and the anodes show zero electrolysis, they look new! And the bolts come out easily with no corrosion. What gives?
