Charging question

ok so do I have to turn the power dial two both in order to have both batteries charged?

Start outboard with it set on 1 and once started switch to 2?
or just start on 2 and run?

depends on the motor and how it is rigged.\
boats aint chebby's.

but on two it will charge both. assuming someone correctly hooked up the cables.

easy way to tell would be to use a voltmeter and measure the battery voltages before starting the motor and then check both battery voltages with switch on 1 and on 2 to see if it comes up and when
