The engine runs fine. Only in the trim up (all the way up) position. It will not start in the down position. It will not keep running as you trim it down. It runs in gear, neutral, high rpm, idle, etc... as long as it's all the way up. It will not fire at all in the down position (any position not all the way up).
All normal maintenance has been done: Engine oil & filter, fuel filter, water separator filter, water pump kit, foot oil, and spark plugs. I have inspected the fuel lines to make sure no pinching or kinking is occurring.
The boat is only used in saltwater and is kept in year round (lift). It never goes more than a couple weeks with out use. Only use non-ethanol fuel.
I will be changing the fuel pump today with my next stop being the carburetor.
