t9.9 twist grip removal

I need to access the inside of my tiller arm to repair the gear shift cable attachment. I see the two screws that hold halves of the tiller assembly together but one is under the twist grip. How do you remove the twist grip? is the throttle cable easy to detatch and reattach? Is opening this assembly while docked/ over water likely to cause more problems than it solves? (ie lots of small parts, like springs, jumping out uncon*****ably)

On most of the tiller handle you have to slide rubber grip off of the handle to gain access to screws. If carefull you should be able replace cable at dock side.
