I have a pair of 2007 150's with square digital command gauges. Tach's at some point loose info (see pic) but engines run normally. Display comes back once engines are turned off/on. Also the trim/tilt switches on stb engine will only raise the engine part way, but the engines raises correctly with the engine switch. If I move the wiring harness the engine raises normally, so must be a problem in the harness. Should I start looking at the gauges or the harness for both problems?

Sounds like corrosion. I have a similar problem going on right now.
When I started unplugging wires, I found a wire corroded INSIDE the jacket, near the main plug of the wiring harness. The corrosion went right up into the plug, so right now I'm looking for a new wiring harness, as I'd rather not try to make any splices into the good cable coming from the remote controls.
Pull and shake on the wires, and you will probably find it quickly.
