I just purchased a 17' mako with a 1997 S115TLRV 2 stroke
the motor runs great for the first 60 seconds and boat gets on a plane, then it bogs down and will not respond to throttle. If I shut the motor off It does the same thing. It Idles fine before and after bogging down. I already purchased a carb rebuild kit and a Yamaha service Manuel for the motor. I will start with a compression test before I take the carbs off. I will post a update.
I also ordered a new filter and fuel pump. I already checked with a smaller new gas tank and bulb.
I will also check the plugs during compression test.
Let me know if I'm missing anything
