2001 ox66 250 fmm/tach/speedo compatibility

I recently purchased a 2001 ox66 250 2 stroke and am trying to fit it with a fuel management gauge, i was told that the 6y5-8350f-01-00 will work with a analog tach 6Y5-83540-04-00 Tachometer, and i have also read that a speedometer is required as well,...

what im really trying to find is wether or not i can use the analog tach & speedo gauges with the digi fmm

The FMM can be a standalone instrument. That is, it can be used solely by itself. To display fuel burn, fuel used, etc.

For full functionality however (to obtain an economy value) a speed input can be provided to the FMM so that it can calculate MPG/KPL etc.

A Yamaha digital speedometer can provide speed to the FMM. An analog speedometer cannot.

In a single engine application the FMM does not use a tachometer input.

A GPS with NMEA 0183 output can also provide the speed input to the FMM.
