1994 txrs. Just started to make a creeking/ snapping noise. Sounds like pivot points need grease but I see no fittings. Works fine.

Put a little bit of Yamaha's waterproof grease on and around the rams themselves..
The seals tend to dry up and will squeak... That should quiet it down.
Had the same issue, nice and quiet now.
There usually is grease fittings right where the pivot (horizontal shaft) are that
need greasing as well. My F150 has them accessible from the rear and also from INSIDE the boat. (mine has 4 total-not counting the vertical steering fitting)Scott

DO NOT place grease on the ram shaft. JUST the tips and the wear pad if applicable.
as no one but maybe you has any idea of what trim system you have that's about all I can say.
unless Yamaha built only one trim unit for the entire production run for 1994.
grease collects dust/sand.
grease and a mild abrasive mix is also called lapping compound.
