I buy my parts from Boats.Net because I appreciate the info I get from this forum. I now need a trim motor for my SX250TXRY and I about fell out when I saw the price was over $500. Are they really that much better than an after market motor? Thanks

Yamaha is very proud of their parts.
I suspect that Sierra makes a motor that will plug and play with your trim and tilt unit.

Another possibility is to take your trim motor to an auto electric shop. Perhaps yours just needs new brushes or an over haul. Although it was a number of years ago I had mine rebuilt for 60 bucks. -
I've been working too much. I will test trim relay tomorrow to see if it could be the issue. ThanksComment
