  • Yamaha 150 HP - 1500 RPM

    HI,

I need help. I have an outboard engine yamaha 150 hp 4 stroke - Year 2005

The engine dont pass the 1500-1600 RPM when I go forward. However in neutral he goes to 5000 rpm and seems to be normal.

Can anyone give some help about this problem.

    Thank you

    Any alarms?

With the throttle pushed forward, it just stays at that RPM? Running rough, or ?

      No Alarms.

Don't pass the 1500-1600 RPM with the throttle forward.

There is nothing strange in terms of noise and the cooling system is working.

      Thanks for your reply

        does the alarm system work?

have you actually tested the alarm system?

most likely you have a clogged injector or a clogged VST filter.

          Hi again,

Thank you for your help, but still I do not have my engine running

I change all the filters, clean the injectors, change the Thermostat, spark plugs and the engine dont pass the 1500-1600 RPM when I go forward and make a strange noise, like as if I was not working in the 4-cylinder. However in neutral he goes to 5000 rpm and seems to be normal.

Forget revving it in neutral, it proves absolutely nothing.
