Swapping out old for new , unknown part #'s for both

Old has 10 wires, colors match except a brown wire that new one doesn't have.

New 1 has 12 wires and has 3 colors old 1 does not. W/R, grey, pink. Not concerned with trim indicator, but would like the idiot lights to work. Thanks

The newer digital display tachometer for an older Yamaha motor (pre 2005) is 6Y5-8350T-83-00.

The key is that it has two square four pin ivory coloured nylon connectors plus four single wires with bullet connectors on the end.

Any digital display speedometer will work.

Now if your motor is pre 1991 you will have to use some adapter harnesses.
