  • 00' F100 aluminum brazing cylinder head

Anyone have experience or advise with brazing corroded area on aluminum cylinder head. Seems there are quite a few products out there. I have a small corroded area on the partition plate and gasket surface between saltwater chamber and engine oil at bottom of head.

I don't think you actually mean brazing?? Are you just after a repair to an alloy head? best bet is to let a head repair place have a look, and/or buy a new or second hand head

      Never heard of "brazing" aluminum.

Can you post any links what you've found??

And plus 100 ^^^ re just getting it TIG welded. I'd suggest a prop shop as they weld super thin aluminum props (which is more difficult to weld than thicker aluminum).

I believe a high frequency machine is needed and a very experienced guy running it is needed too.
No matter how well you clean it up the contaminants in the corroded metal keep screwing up the weld as it comes out into the molten metal as it is being welded.
I am not sure how torch/ gas welding would work on that repair

I send my heads to Flagship Marine in punta gorda FL.
they weld them up and surface them and ship it back.
