  • T9.9 Pulser coil to Flywheel clearance?

I have the service manual for my 2001 T9.9, but I can not find the recommended gap between the Pulser coil and the Flywheel. Does anyone know what the recommended gap is?
    Thanks, Dan.

A Yamaha document not being complete? Who would have imagined?

An SM for a later version T9.9 indicates an air gap of 0.4 ~ 0.6 mm.

        Good point.

I presume that if someone asks about adjustment specs for a part that the part is adjustable. But...

More importantly I suspect is the voltage output from the pulser coil being within specification.

Thanks guys. It does not seem to be particularly sensitive. I tried it over a range of settings from 0.010" to 0.050" and they all seemed to work fine with no noticeable change in the timing. I just wanted to get it right. I will set it for 0.020" (0.5mm).
