  • 200 200hp OX66 Saltwater series sx200 . what is under this black bracket ?2

I am about to replace the cowl trim switch.Looks pretty straight forward 2 10mm bolts and a retaining bracket and gasket. Its looking like I will have to remove a smaller black bracket/retainer which is just aft
of the trim bracket and perpendicular to the trim bracket.Old wires are routed under this bracket and new wires will have to go under it.Just want to know what the bracket is for before I fiddle with it.Looks like there
is a thin silver rod which runs under it as well as the wiring. Will try to post a pic.

Is that just a retainer that you can very easily swing out of the way? Is there more to this than it looks like in the picture? This looks like a blatantly easy thing so I'm wondering if you're seeing something I'm not or if you're question has more to it....... or maybe you're just way overthinking this

wiring and hoses management bracket. looks like you are saving money and don't want to buy Yamaha service manual for your motor.

Thanks guys, you are all correct.I was working under the shrink-wrap so I couldn't see under that bracket and didn't want to mess with it until I knew exactly what it was.
Help from you guys and a brighter flash light was the ticket. Job completed!!! And YES I have a service manual which I didn't have access to to immediately.I always
prefer getting some experienced advice on boating forums before I get into the manual. Thanks again guys!!! Charlie
