I recently had a 2008 F150 installed. The problems I'm having are - when I come out of gear, both forward and reverse, into neutral quickly, the motor will stall a lot of the time. If I go to neutral SLOWLY with a short pause just before neutral, it will not. The RPMs will fall and catch back up but it doesnt stall. Idling around 650 RPMs.
I took it to a shop, was told he didnt have the issue. First time I ran it after picking up, problem is still there.
It also grinds pretty good going into forward gear and Im not babying it. Reverse is barely noticeable. Shop did adjust that some, got it to grind less into forward but a bit more into reverse. Problem with that is the neutral safety switch no longer lined up with the shift linkage as it should. If I adjust back, it brings back the grinding into forward.
I checked both switches in the attached photo, both good. However at no position from full reverse thru full forward does the bottom switch get pushed by the tab. Not a great pic, will try and get a better one tomorrow.
Thanks
