Disassembled lower drive unit to clean & replace oil. When replacing propeller shaft & tightening lower casing cap, the drive shaft locks up (cannot turn motor over). Loosened cap so drive shaft will turn again, jiggled shift cam up & down, tightened cap. Drive shaft turns again but, at some point, when moving shift cam into forward or reverse, drive shaft always locks up. Do both the gears engage with the pinion simultaneously? Or does one gear slide along the propeller shaft? The dog clutch seemed to work ok when I inspected it.
