Zara Spook - I often reccomend the service manual from Yamaha Publications after I read how to sync carbs on our TLRD 90 from markings on the engine casting. Yours is similar generation and I anticipate you will achieve your goal as long as you follow rodbolt's lead and don't fix what isn't broke.
