Replacing the tie bar ball joints. I have twin 200,25" shafts, on a Grady Sailfish, should they be set straight running ,or toed in or toed out?

This is a very controversial subject. Don't know why but it is.
Yamaha and most engine makers recommends that the motors be towed out such that the wake of the motors come together about 25 - 50 feet behind the boat.
Some will 'spearament to find works best for their particular configuration.

ADJUSTING TWIN MOTORS
Set the engines in the toe-out position, and
measure the distances between the two
engines at the center point of the rear (a) and
front (b) of the lower casing. The difference
between measurement (a) and measurement
(b) should not exceed 25 mm (1 in.).
* Adjustment: (b) – (a) = Within 25 mm (1 in)
For best result, your toe-out distance should
be set so that the twin motors wake meets
approximately 7.5 – 15 m (25 – 50 ft) past the
stern of the boat.If its got teats or tires, you bound to have trouble with it....

It depends on whether your motor is mounted on the Transom or Gill Bracket. I own 2 Grady White Sailfish. The one with the motors on the transom likes the props toed out 1 inch. The one with the motors out on the Gill Bracket likes them parallel with NO toe in or out. I have played with all 4 positions on both boats and this is what I ended up with as their happy place.
