Should the sealant material side face the carb or the intake manifold?

With pattern of the sealer "lines" going around the gasket (it is different between the top and bottom of your pic).

Can you see a difference on the carb surface vs the manifold surface?

I would also tend to think the sealant side would go on the plastic side of the manifold vs the carb side as the aluminum is obviously much stiffer and might require better sealing as it ISN'T as stiff... (Guesstamation on my part)

It's on a 94 P115. I'll then put it facing the carb, it looked to me to be the intention of the sealer on one side.
