Yamaha not doing a thing for balancer problem

Until they figure out a way to stop the damn thing from failing.

Have not heard of a suit re the F150 and the V8. The F200/F225/F250 exhaust mid-section, yes. But I heard it is mired in the mud.

The balancer gear failing is bad enough. It is when pieces of the gear block off the oil supply and takes out the rest of the motor that is the real bad part.

Lots of folks getting new SHO VF250 blocks for free.

If Yamaha changed the Teflon to steel I bet this problem would go away.Maybe noisier and a little more weight but that could be fixed with a better oiling system. I think that's where the problem is. Lack of oil on start up wears the Teflon down eventually with stress and heat breaks off. They need steel in there.

Yes. The F150 that is. A 150 does not use a balancer.
