New to Me- 2004 75hp - Can I swap to a newer throttle handle??

Hi all,
just got a lund w a 75 tiller Yamaha. The FIRST think you notice is that the trim isn't in the thumb position next tot he throttle. It's down the neck of the tiller arm :-(

I've seen a couple youtubes w a throttle install, one mentioned an adapter kit.

• Is this swap doable to a newer throttle?
• If so what all do I need?

What exact Yamaha 75 hp engine do you have? That's the very first thing that needs to be known here. If you click on the link below you will see that they sell a tilled handle that fits many, many models.

The only 2004 75 I can find is a F75TLRC which is a remote , not a tiller

Apologies - F75TLRD is the Model

2005 Model - (not 04)

the R says it is a remote , not a tiller, so someone modified it from factory

Sorry, but I have no clue, what you need.
might check with the local shops around you if they put tillers on remote motors
