9.9 high thrust remote

I bought a 2011 9.9 high thrust, going on 2002 lowe 16ft. Has yamaha 6X0 flush mount control. Throttle linkage is backwords.

Nothing to be confused about.

The motor has a pull to open type of throttle and the control box is set up for a a motor with a push to open type of throttle.

This presumes that you have the control box mounted on a right side panel.

thanks, just thought they were all the same. Is there a way to change box? Can you tell how a control is setup by looking at the outside or do you need to open it up? Again thanks for the info.

Yes. The control box can be changed from one configuration to the other.

If a control cable were to be attached to the control box then just move the throttle forward and see if the cable extends (push to open/pull to close) or retracts (pull to open/push to close).
