Just bought a 95 Sprint 255 with a 95 c40 Yamaha motor. The guy I bought it from had it serviced the beginning of the year and compression was good. He filled it up and let it sit all year till now. I fired it up and had to use the idle to rev it up to get it to run but stalled out quickly. I cleaned out the gas tank and put new mixed gas in,also changed the plugs. It will crank and run briefly with the idle up and taching 1000 rpm then move idle to 2000 and back to 1000 then stalls out.will not crank unless idle is up,tries to but won't. Electric choke is working. I'm assuming it's due for a good carb cleaning??any advice is appreciated
