water test engine ran strong ,
good compression

Seller didn't know exact year or model engine ,


THIS IS WHAT I DISCOVERED

2 Tags each side , cant read , faded ( not painted or scratched out ) no plate

Seller said motor is early 2000 - 2001
250 HP
2 stroke
Only numbers I see are on heads by plugs ( can this help )

3 fuel pumps

Don't see any other numbers anyplace too indicate what model I have ( anything under fly wheel cover )

NEED TOO KNOW ORDERING PARTS

What models in the 250 series , 2 stroke , were sold USA early 2000's

one of the gauges is blank with engine running - red hot directly into gauge , , - should it light or zero seen . Trying too determine if gauge even works ?

Cowling lock down , front release operates , rear two cables are there but loose cant figure routing , Seller did say when he had motor at shop they tried too fix but could not ? HUH

I have few invoices for previous work , shop did not indicate model , I called shop asking them if they can find history what they did and what model motor , Getting grey hair waiting for their response

Get the markings (letters and numbers) from the CDI box.

Inspect the block for a round decal with numbers on it. What are those numbers?

Inspect the starter motor for a tag. What is on that tag.

"Most" likely, you have the same as what is in my signature.

Yes, it would be an OX66, but that's not really the model number. You have (3) LOW PRESSURE pumps on the side of engine... inside the VST tank (bare aluminum thing on side) is the high pressure pump.

I can take a picture of the rear latching cables... will post back.

Swap the wires between the gauges... see what happens
