Shipping F225HP

I have to move my F225 HP in the bed of my pickup truck about 125 miles. I am going to make a pallet modeled on the metal shipping pallets Yamaha uses. The motor is mounted horizontally with the power head tilted up at about a 12 degree angle. Is it necessary to drain the oil or is the positioning close enough to the motor being tilted in the full up position as it would be on a trailer or at a mooring?

there is a reason Yamaha ships the motor with NO oil.

That was my question, never having bought a new motor and un-crated it, I did not know how they shipped them

Shipping anything with liquid in it is something they do not like to do. Think about what problems would happen if a spill happened and needed to be cleaned up
