Is there a reason not to use Mobil 1 full synthetic oil in my 2016 F70 with 81 hours on it?? I use it in everything else I have.

Mobil 1 is a fine oil. is it worth the price???

For outboard motors they have a specific oil rating of FC-W. Per NMMA------- "NMMA recognizes that marine engines face unique demands compared to non-marine engines. In addition to exposure to humidity, freshwater and saltwater, marine engines are often run at high speeds under heavy loads"

I have always understood it that these oils have additional additives to help with corrosion since they are exposed to so much moisture.

Is that saying you have to run a FC-W oil in your outboard...NO. Will Mobil 1 hurt your engine?..Probably not... I run mostly Yamaha/Amsoil in our engines. I Usually change the oil once a year or every 100 hrs. whichever comes first.

Make sure the motor is well broke in before going that way.
the rings and cylinder walls need to wear into each other
