I feel like i started a mess. i have twin 250 2-strokes and i replaced one of the steering cylinders with the Dometic Seastar HC5345-3 cause it had damage on the chrome rod and leaked bad. the 5345 is what one of our old steering cylinder was a Teleflex Seastar which is completely different and our tie bar is unusable.
now i either need to replace the other cylinder for another 700$ and the dual cylinder tie bar kit for 500$ or try and save money and do the single cylinder and single cylinder tie bar kit for like $420
is it worth spending the money on the dual cylinder steering or does the single make it hard to steer? its a boat not used very much and pretty much never offshoar anymore.
i know i will probably need to flip the bracket to make the 5345 into the 5358. some of the application charts for cylinders had conflicting info
